About our school...
|
St George Primary School was built in 1847. Our school is proud to be one of Bristol’s smallest, high achieving primary schools, set in the heart of the city – on Brandon Hill. We believe in taking full advantage of the rich heritage of the area and the cultural diversity of the school and local community.
We are a Church of England VC Primary school affiliated to two churches in the centre of the city. We are a multi cultural school and we teach children to understand key elements of all the major faiths through assemblies and dedicated lessons, as well as celebrating specific Christian festivals at one or other of the churches.
There is a happy atmosphere and calm working environment within the school and we have a committed, enthusiastic and talented team of staff. We have 3 classes in the main building and a Foundation Stage Unit (Reception and Nursery children) which has its own site. Both classes regularly join the main school for a range of activities. We have a new computer suite which will enable us to use computers to deliver, or facilitate, a large part of the curriculum to a whole class at the same time. |
